Honey contains sugars that are easily digested and it is the best choice for people who are fasting. Carbohydrates are known to be very rich in sugars, if not complexes of sugars. The internal structure of the sugars helps in determining whether the sugars are complex or simple. For instances where the sugar molecules are arranged in rows like viewed in starch, then these sugars are referred to as complex. These are hard for the body to digest.

The recent theory about hibernation diet builds a link between weight loss and honey that is rich in fructose. This is an ideal weight loss measure. You just have to take a tablespoon of honey mixed with some warm water before retiring to bed. This is known to work within a matter of days.
