Sorry to harsh on the graphic, but aphids produce honey dew that’s a popular snack in South America, ant eggs are eaten in Mexico and Thailand, and most insects themselves are edible and quite high in protein.
Additionally, honeybees do indeed sting invertabres. Unless the intruder is inside the hive, overheating them isn’t practical. And while bee stingers’ barbs often stick in soft stretchy skin, it doesn’t always hold and the bee can sting repeatedly. In the hard chitin shell of invertabraes, however, the sting is invariably fatal to the bee, suggesting that the stinger evolved primarily as a defence against other bugs.

If swarming bees in the wild above 6′ off the ground are usually honey bees. If their swarm is below 6′ there are usually Africianized bees.
